Inspiration Images to Quilt

I was having a real hard time finding an art work to use as inspiration for a quilt. Finally found a set of 4 photographs from a book titled "Enclosure" by Andy Goldsworthy.

Excuse the pictures- I used my small camera to take pictures of the pages of the book. I hope my swap partner will enjoy the challenge of my inspiration images.

Why is this so hard?

I am part of a group on 15 Minutes of Play and the challenge is to find a piece of art to interpret in a quilt using solids only. Well after spending hours on art.com I can't find one I like. Some are too representational, some are too geometric, making the challenge too easy, and some just don't translate to quilting. I think I'm going to look at some of the books on the book shelves for something that works. Hopefully this book will hold the key.

Another strategy is to find a sculpture that I can use. I like the graphic designs found from this artist. Louise Nevelson

I'm new!!!

Wow that was easy!. Now the big question does anyone really care that I knit and sew every day? Time will tell. Right now this is the basic,  bare bones posting just to see what happens. Stay tuned! Hopefully this will get exciting, but maybe exciting could be a stretch.
